The AAF District XI National Student Advertising Competition will be April 18-20 in Boise, Idaho at Boise State University. The competition will be held on Friday, April 19 in the Micron Business and Economics Building (COBE) on the Boise State campus. Thursday evening and Friday events will be held on the Boise State University campus. Lodging accommodations at Hampton Inn & Suites Boise Downtown.

To register for the competition, please complete the following:

Registration Checklist

I. Reserve Lodging Rooms @ Hampton Inn & Suites. Deadline March 28. Tap here to book online: Hampton Inn Boise AAF District 11. Some additional rooms have been secured for Wednesday night for those teams planning to arrive on Wednesday. We have only reserved a limited amount of rooms, so we encourage you NOT TO WAIT until the deadline to reserve. Best to reserve early and revise later.

II. Fill out NSAC School Registration Form below on this page. Deadline: April 1 (AAF District XI will send you (or your school) an invoice based upon the information you provide. Cost is $250 per person. Students and advisors. Payment is due by April 10.

III. Fill out team rosters. Deadline: April 3 Complete a team roster spreadsheet with the correct spelling of team member names, advisor and captain(s). Also indicate any dietary restrictions for registrants. Tap to download spreadsheet (Download and fill out OFFLINE, do not fill out online) Once completed, email to Rik Shiiki, AAF District XI Treasurer by April 3. Cancellations received by April 12 will receive a refund less $20. Cancellations received after April 12, will NOT receive a refund.

IV. Submit team photo jpeg. Deadline: April 5 See details below.

V. Registration payment received by: April 10.


Team Photo

SPECIAL REQUEST: We are asking each team to provide a jpeg photo of your entire team. The jpeg should be 5″ x 7″; at least 1500 px by 2100 px @ 300 dpi. It is IMPORTANT the orientation is portrait, not landscape. (see example below) Email to Rik Shiiki or upload to a cloud service such as google drive and share the link with Rik.

Thursday, April 18:

I. Boise area agency / business tours We are planning a start time around 10:30 / 11:30 AM. On your roster, please let us know if the student would like to participate in the tours, if yes, the anticipated arrival time and email addresses and we will contact them individually with tour instructions.

II. 5:30 pm Welcome reception / dinnerBoise State | COBE | Imagination Lab

III. 5:30 pm Ambassador Program InterviewsBoise State | COBE | Conference Room

IV. 6:30 pm NSAC Alumni presentation, Orientation meeting (all team members, all teams) – Brief tech check to follow | Boise State University | COBE / Skaggs Hall of Learning

Friday, April 19:

I. All Day: NSAC competition Boise State | COBE / Skaggs Hall of Learning

II. Noon: Luncheon Boise State

III. Evening: Awards banquetBoise State | Alumni Center

Saturday, April 20:

I.  8:45 am Judges’ critique with each team | Hampton Inn & Suites | Gold Fork

II.  8:30 am Advisor-only breakfast meeting | Hampton Inn & Suites – location TBA

REGISTRATION

Registration is $250 per person for students and advisors.(Two parts: 1. Complete the form below 2.  Complete and submit Roster spreadsheet) Included meals are reception & dinner on Thursday evening. Friday lunch, Friday evening sit-down dinner/awards banquet. Breakfast included with hotel guest stay. Registration also includes incidentals such as audio visual equipment rental, judges’ expenses and other miscellaneous expenses. ALL PAYMENTS TO BE RECEIVED BY APRIL 10.
